BA(Hons) Contemporary Crafts 2005 - 2008
Falmouth gives you great support on every level. The atmosphere at Tremough is friendly and enriching, there was an open approach, and we were encouraged to take inspiration from a wide range of influences. The Contemporary Crafts course also had some fantastic opportunities with outside projects - including Trelissick Gardens, City of Lights, The Poly and Royal Cornwall Museum - which gave us valuable experience and helped develop our professional practice.
After graduating in 2008, I was selected for the New Designers show in London. This generated some good interest in my work, with offers of exhibitions and an invitation to join the Society of Designer Craftsmen. At their winter exhibition at The Mall, London, I was awarded the TSB/SDC prize for excellence and made a full member.
After my degree show at Tremough, the Newlyn Art Gallery and Badcocks Gallery both invited me to exhibit with them, and at the moment I'm getting ready for the Affordable Art Fair in London. I've also started an MA in 20th Century Art & Design: Histories and Theories.
