Peter is currently a designer with the design firm LDA Design. The
company covers many design disciplines from Landscape Architecture
through to urban design and master planning. Having graduated in 2006,
Pete now undertakes a wide variety of work ranging from contributing to
the design of large scale Landscape Architecture projects, to model
making and the communication of final design proposals.
Pete
found UCF's Spatial Design course to be incredibly varied and never
specialised or focused on any one particular subject. He felt this
approach made the course all the more enjoyable and interesting. There
are pros and cons to this learning experience, in Peter's words: "It
means you're able to apply yourself to many different tasks and have a
wide range of skills, but those skills aren’t focused into one
specialised discipline. How you make the most of it can depend on
whether an employer is looking for someone who has a specific
specialised degree."
