Here is a summary of the rewards and benefits we offer*
Final salary pension
Employees are eligible to enter into either the Local Government Pension Scheme or the Teacher’s Pension Scheme whichever is applicable to individual posts. Both schemes are contributory.
Generous holiday entitlement
In addition to the 8 statutory public holidays, support staff are entitled to 28 days annual leave (or pro rata equivalent).
Academic staff are entitled to 35 days’ annual leave (or pro rata equivalent).
The timing of all annual leave is subject to the prior agreement of the line manager.
Relocation assistance
Relocation expenses may be payable to new members of staff who wish to relocate to the area as a result of taking up an appointment with the College. This is subject to certain rules and subject to a maximum payment. Further details will be sent with an offer of employment.
Childcare vouchers
The University College offers a Childcare Voucher Scheme, where savings can be made towards the cost of childcare through ‘salary sacrifice’.
Subsidised transport
Subsidised bus travel has been arranged for students and staff at both Woodlane and Tremough Campuses to support UCF’s Green Travel Policy. A Pool car is also available for members of staff travelling on University College business.
Counselling service
All employees have the opportunity to access the counselling services of Relate confidentially and free of charge.
Nursery facilities
University College Falmouth has a nursery facility at the Woodlane Campus, where places are offered on a priority basis firstly to students and staff.
Tailored staff development
Staff development is actively reviewed and actioned as part of and following the annual appraisal process.
Annual development festival
The University College holds an annual development festival where all staff are encouraged to participate in as many activities as possible.
Health and fitness facilities
Tremough Sports Centre provides opportunities for students, staff and the wider community, of all levels and ability, to participate in sport and physical activity. The centre features a gymnasium, exercise studio, changing rooms, showers and a physiotherapy room. The facilities are open all year.
Refectory facilities
There are refectory facilities on both the Woodlane and Tremough Campus.
