Reunions & events

As an alumnus you may wish to renew your links with some of your fellow graduates or staff. From time to time we stage College-led reunion events for specific course or year groups, or sometimes just support smaller groups in organising their own get-togethers. If you want to keep informed about forthcoming reunions, or want to seek assistance with organising one, please check this section from time to time and/or contact us direct.

Provided you are in receipt of Falumni News you will be notified of reunions or other College events which you are welcome to attend; this might also include Professorial or VIP lectures, exhibitions, conferences and occasionally private views. Dartington reunion

We are delighted to invite alumni celebrating their 10th and 20th anniversaries back to Dartington Hall on Saturday 22 October 2011.

The reunion will begin with tea and biscuits in the Griffiths/EW Lounge at 4.00pm, offering you an opportunity to reconnect with classmates and friends, followed by a three-course meal in the main dining room at The White Hart from 7.00pm.

There are a limited number of reservations available and early booking is therefore recommended. Once all places have been booked, any additional names will be put on a waiting list.

Included in the price of £30 per person, is a £5.00 non-refundable deposit per person should you wish to cancel your booking.

• Alumni, postgraduate and third year undergraduate students of 3D Design, Contemporary Crafts and Textile Design showcased their work at the 2010 Appledore Visual Arts Festival from 3-6 June as part of UCF's Out of Hand exhibition, held at the Glove Factory gallery in North Devon
• The Winter Dance Gathering brought students, staff and alumni to the Dartington campus for a weekend of performances, workshops, discussions and film screenings from 4-6 December 2009
• Fine Art students of the 1956-65 era met in Falmouth for their annual lunch party on 6 October 2009
• BA(Hons) Graphic Design graduates of 1996 reunited at the Princess Pavilions in Falmouth on 27 June 2009
• Photography graduates took the opportunity to reunite during the annual Free Range show in London in June 2009
• HND Creative Advertising graduates of 1996 held an informal reunion at Woodlane Refectory, Falmouth on 24 April 2009
• BA(Hons) lllustration Alumni joined industry professionals at the Royal Society of Arts on 8 July 2008 to celebrate the launch of the Book of Illustrated Quotes and Sayings 3
• BA(Hons) English with Media and English with Creative Writing graduates re-established their connections at the Tremough Campus on 21 June 2008 for a Reunion marking 10 years of English at Falmouth
• Graduates from BA(Hons) Broadcasting, BA (Hons) Film Studies, BA(Hons) Graphic Design, BA(Hons) Journalism, PgDip/MA Broadcast Journalism, PgDip/MA Creative Advertising, MA International Journalism, PgDip/MA Professional Writing, PgDip/MA Television Production attended the first Media Alumni Event which was held at the Chelsea Football Club, London in December 2007. The event was timed to coincide with the announcement of an exciting new development in the institution's Media profile, the announcement of UCF becoming a part of the Cornwall Skillset Academy.
• November 2006 saw fifteen years' worth of Design Graduates attending an event at the Design Museum in London to celebrate ‘Design at Falmouth'. As well as reconnecting former students, the event was an ideal opportunity to launch new BA(Hons) degrees in Fashion Design, Performance Sportswear Design and MAs in Contemporary Crafts, Garden Design, Interior & Landscape Design, Textile Design and 3D Design.
• Students from the 1950s and ‘60s gathered at the Woodlane Campus in September 2006, to attend the College's first ever Alumni Reunion. As well as catching up on times past, our visitors toured both campuses and attended a presentation on how the College continues to lead the field in art, design and media, gathering afterwards for dinner at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall.
