FAQs

Who/What are Falumni?

The word alumni originates from the Latin alere meaning to nourish, and is widely used to represent an institution's graduate, former student or former staff body.

At UCF we like to think of our alumni as Falumni and include all those who have studied at the institution or at Dartington College of Arts and completed a Foundation course; graduated with a BA(Hons); PgDip; MA or PhD. Falumni also include former staff.

Do I need to register to join the Falumni community?

Although you automatically become a member of the Falumni community on leaving the institution, we do ask that you register with us simply so that we have your up-to-date contact details.

How do I take advantage of the publicised Benefits & Services?

Apart from sports centre membership and the alumni external borrower membership of the library, none of the current Alumni Benefits & Services require a specific ID card. Please however ensure you keep us informed of your up-to-date contact details, particularly if you are on our e-newsletter distribution list.

I would like to organise a reunion for my course, subject or year group. How can the College help?

We would love to hear from you if you are organising a reunion of any kind as we may be able to help with publicising the event. This might be in the e-newsletter, in a targeted email, or here on our web pages. Dependent on the numbers involved and the amount of notice given, we may also be able to send out your invitations by post.

Being an alumnus myself, I/my employer would like to offer work placements to current UCF students. Who should I contact?

The Development & Alumni Relations Office is keen to nurture exactly these sorts of relationships between alumni and current students. In the first instance please contact us by emailing alumni@falmouth.ac.uk or telephoning 01326 214399.

I need to get hold of a transcript of my degree, can the Development & Alumni Relations help?

For transcripts, please email brian.parsonage@falmouth.ac.uk or telephone 01326 213724.
