Current benefits & services

Alumni are entitled to a range of benefits and services as detailed below. If you have any suggestions for additional benefits and services please get in touch with us.

Use of the library

Reference access to the libraries at Woodlane and Tremough is available free to Alumni. There are excellent print collections in both libraries with Woodlane library specialising in art and design, and Tremough in media, design and related subjects.

In addition, for an annual fee of £25 you can register with the library to become an Alumni Borrower. This entitles you to borrow up to four books at a time. To enable us to process your application:

doc Library application form (375.50 KB)

  • To pay by cheque: return the completed library application form with a cheque for £25 to the Alumni Relations office at Woodlane. Please make cheques payable to University College Falmouth.
  • To pay online: email your completed library application form to: alumni@falmouth.ac.uk and pay through our secure online payments system.

We will contact you when your library card is ready for collection (approx 2 weeks).

For further information about our libraries please visit the Libraries & Information Service website. The library online catalogue is available online at voyager.falmouth.ac.uk. Unfortunately academic licences do not permit access to online library resources or the video/DVD collection, however the extensive print collections are accessible.

Careers Advice

Our Careers Advisory Service welcomes Alumni to access their advice and resources whenever needed.

Whether you'd like to arrange a careers guidance interview, make use of the careers libraries based at the Woodlane and Tremough campuses, or keep informed about forthcoming careers fairs, the Careers Advisory Service will be happy to help.

Alternatively as a prospective employer yourself, you may wish to help the Careers Advisory Service by offering work placements or promoting recruitment opportunities.

For more information on what the Careers Advisory Service can offer or if you'd like to give something back to the College in terms of providing opportunities for current students, please visit careers.falmouth.ac.uk or contact:

Jon Christie or Elaine Munro, or telephone reception on 01326 370460

Discounted postgraduate course fees

Graduates of the University College who commence a postgraduate course in October 2010 are eligible for a 15% progression discount off the full course fee if they graduated in June 2010. Those who graduated from June 2005 to 2009 are eligible for a £300 progression discount provided they enrol on a postgraduate course within 5 years of their graduation date.

Subsidised sports centre membership

Alumni living locally might be interested to know that they are eligible for discounted membership fees at our Tremough-based Sports Centre. Rather than paying the same as the general public to use the Sports Centre, Alumni pay staff rates, which represent a saving of approximately 25%.

The Sports Centre features a state-of-the-art fitness suite including the latest Vibrogym technology, an exercise studio and multi-use games area. To view exercise studio timetables and read more about the Sport Centre's facilities in general, please visit: www.tremoughservices.com/sportscentre, email: Steve Winnan, Sports Centre Manager, or telephone: 01326 370770

Save up to 70% on magazine subscriptions

UCF alumni can take advantage of the lowest prices available on subscriptions to magazines such as The Economist, Vogue, Time and National Geographic and many, many more. To find out more, visit www.alumni-subscriptions.co.uk.
