Five Theatre graduates co - directed Cart Macabre, the long- awaited and sold out Living Structures and Old Vic co-production, staged in The Old Vic Tunnels under Waterloo station. Cart Macabre was designed and directed as part of Klaus Kruse's MA in Theatre and was developed over 2 years following his graduation.

Living Structure members, Klaus Kruse, Dani d'Emilia, Dugald Ferguson, Verity Standen and Ula Dajerling have received extensive media interest for Cart Macabre, featuring on BBC 2 The Review Show with Kirsty Wark, Klaus appearing on The Midweek show on Radio 4 with Libby Purves and further reviews in The Telegraph, The Stage, The Independent and The Guardian.

Living Structure's website describes the immersive theatre piece as "a nightmare fairground ride through a dreamlike landscape. It's a restless exploration of isolation and disorientation, an act of faith on the part of the audience.  In total darkness, 32 people are shepherded into eight wooden carts and moved through a succession of theatrical environments. The carts - their smell, their sounds, the sensation of their movement - become an inseparable part of a multi-sensory experience."

The company was established during the member's student days and they are continuing close links with the Performance courses at UCF. In addition to the co-directors being graduates, Darren Perry (Technical Director) is a further alumnus and there are many more cast members from across the Music, Fine Art, Theatre and Writing courses.

In addition the company offered three internships to current Performance students allowing Josephine McCourt, Emily Walters and Jacob Woods to perform with Living Structures at the Old Vic Tunnels.  According to Klaus these students "have proven that Falmouth is about to release into the world a new generation of dedicated and talented, first class professional Theatre Makers."
