Travelling from Truro to Falmouth or Penryn

If you are travelling to Cornwall by train, get off at Truro Station and catch the local train to either Penryn (for Tremough) or Falmouth, which leaves from Platform 1. You will need to get off at Penryn Station for Tremough.

You should get off at Falmouth Town (The Dell), then follow our map, or book a taxi (you should pre-book this by telephone from Truro Station before you leave for Falmouth) – let the taxi company know when you want to be picked up from The Dell and the address you wish to travel to.

If your train arrives in Truro when local trains to Penryn and Falmouth are not running, you will have to travel to Penryn or Falmouth by taxi or by bus. When you get off the train at Truro Station, leave the station by the main exit and you will see a Taxi Rank immediately outside the station. Give the driver your address , and you will be taken straight there. The likely cost of a taxi to Penryn is between £15 to £20.  A taxi to Falmouth will be about £20 to £25.

by bus 

There are regular bus services between Truro and Penryn and Truro and Falmouth. The bus station is located in the centre of town; about 15 minutes walk from the railway station. Service no. 88/88B (operated by First) from Truro to Falmouth (via Penryn) depart every half hour from outside Truro railway station, calling at Truro bus station en route to Falmouth.

It may be helpful to know that the last bus from Truro railway station leaves at 22.41h, arriving at Falmouth at 23.37h; and the first bus of the morning leaves Truro railway station at 06:58h, arriving at Falmouth at 07:54h. The services are less frequent on Sundays.
