Air connections: London Gatwick Airport

If you arriving at London Gatwick Airport, we recommend that you make your way to Gatwick Airport Train Station and purchase a single (one way) ticket to Falmouth Town (The Dell) via Reading. Then follow the instructions outlines below, under Rail Connections. This route avoids the hassle of crossing London.

It is possible to use a taxi to get to London but this option will be very expensive.

Alternatively, make your way to Gatwick Airport Station and purchase a single (one way) ticket to Falmouth Town (The Dell) via London. You should then catch one of the frequent Gatwick Express trains to London. On arriving at London Victoria Train Station, you can either catch a taxi (expensive), or an London Underground train (also known as ‘The Tube’) to London Paddington Station. If you wish to go by Underground, follow the signs to the Underground, purchase a single (one way) ticket to Paddington, and catch a Circle Line (westbound) train to Paddington. The Circle Line is colour-coded yellow on Underground maps. Get off at Paddington and follow the signs to Paddington Main Line Station. At Paddington Station you will be able to a train to Truro (in Cornwall), and then on to Falmouth Town. Using the Underground with a lot of luggage is not advisable!

A further alternative is for you to fly from Gatwick to Newquay Airport. Air Southwest and British Airways operates services from London Gatwick’s North Terminal. Newquay is just 28 miles from Falmouth.
