How to apply

How you submit an application to us depends on whether you are applying for a Foundation, Undergraduate or Postgraduate course.

All international applicants are required to submit:

  • 2 x Academic references
  • Original English language test results, if your first language is not English
  • Education certificates
  • Transcripts
  • A portfolio of your current work

Foundation course

UAL Foundation Diploma in Art & Design

Applicants to our UAL Foundation Diploma in Art & Design course should apply online through the UAL Foundation Diploma course page on this website.

Undergraduate courses

Applicants to our BA(Hons) and FdA degree courses should complete an application through UCAS: www.ucas.ac.uk.

The UCAS deadline for applications is 15 January.

Please note: If you miss the January deadline, you can still apply through UCAS until 30 June. Your application will be considered by UCF if there are still vacancies on the course you are applying for.

Once we have received your UCAS application, we will contact you by e-mail with details of any further information you are required to send directly to the International Office. Extra information required could be a portfolio of your work on CD/DVD or as a link to an on-line portfolio, academic transcripts and English language test report forms.

Postgraduate courses

Applicants to our MA courses should apply direct to the University College using the online application form

Applications for MA courses can be submitted at any time, but you should apply as early as possible. We allocate places as applications are received so, if you wait too long, your chosen course may already be full.
