Ben Emmett, Comprehensive Design Project, 2009

At Falmouth we believe that interior design is about maximising potential; transforming spaces by working with clients and other specialists to develop innovative and creative design solutions. From exploring the fundamentals of materials and structure to planning and creating exciting interior spaces, you'll cover every aspect of interior design - with a vital focus on professional practice.

What's more, you'll be based in our inspirational open-plan Design Centre with its exceptional facilities and ample opportunity to collaborate and share ideas with our Textile Design, 3D Design and Contemporary Crafts students.

What will I get out of the course?

You'll be given the inspiration and encouragement to find your own personal approach to interior design - learning about the construction and detailing of space and how to communicate your designs to professional standards through traditional and digital presentation techniques.

Working on live projects throughout, you'll design for a range of commercial users including hospitality, retail, public, marine and leisure. You'll learn how professional interior design interacts with other disciplines as part of a project's design team and develop valuable project management skills.
