International scholarships

What about distance learning courses?

The scholarships are open to students on our distance learning courses. If a student studies on a part-time basis over two years we will award the scholarship in two 50% payments each year.

If you are already studying at UCF

If you are already studying on one of our programmes and wish to progress from Foundation to BA(Hons) level study, or from BA(Hons) to MA level study, you can apply for relevant scholarships and will be equally considered on the basis of merit. As one of our current students we would like to continue to support your career aspirations for the future and therefore also offer a progression discount.

How to apply for a UCF scholarship

You will be assessed for your eligibility for any award at the same time you apply for a course at Falmouth.

You should indicate on the separate scholarship application form which scholarship you would like to be considered for. The form is available to download below or you can contact the International Office for help and advice: international@falmouth.ac.uk

Alternatively you can contact one of our representatives in your country: international agents

Applications will only be considered from applicants who have provided both a complete UCF course application and a completed scholarship form, by no later than 25 May 2012.

We advise international students to submit applications as early as possible. We look forward to receiving your applications.

Will I need to pay a scholarship application fee?

No, we do not charge a fee for our scholarship opportunities.

If successful, how will I receive the scholarship and when?

We will notify successful applicants by no later than 6 July 2012. Students can opt for the scholarship to be applied as a reduction of their tuition fee, or to receive the money by cheque or bank transfer. Payments will be made in two instalments: the first half by 31 October after joining the course at Falmouth, the second half in February at the start of semester 2 of the first academic year, upon satisfactory completion of semester 1 studies.

UCF placement fund (postgraduate only)

A number of UCFs postgraduate courses involve compulsory work placements.

This fund aims to help international students cover some of the costs associated with these placements, such as travel expenses. You will be asked for details of all the costs you expect to incur so the assessment panel can decide on the best way to support you. You can apply as soon as you have full details of your placement, probably 2-3 months into your course. Awards will vary and the fund is limited but we aim to help as many students as possible.
