Learning & teaching
Overseen by the Pro Rector (Learning & Teaching), Dr Andrew Upton, the Learning & Teaching team works to provide support to academic and academic support colleagues through a range of initiatives including teaching enhancement and learning development.
PGCHE - MA Education
This HEA accredited course is run by Caroline Cash and offers colleagues the opportunity to engage with a reflective teaching practice, recognised by both a masters level qualification and the achievement of HEA fellowship status.
Caroline will be supported in her delivery of the course by our educational development lecturers.
Educational development lecturers
Four educational development lecturers (EDLs) are in place:
- Hilary Watters - Department of Art and Department of Design
- Steph Cosgrove - Department of Media
- Deborah Price - Department of Performance
- Angela Annesley - Department of Writing
EDLs work with UCF departments on the implementation of a range of institutional retention initiatives and also provide surgery style support to students to help them navigate the higher education environment.
