Universities showcase creativity and lift the lid on research for the local community
University College Falmouth and the University of Exeter, who share and jointly manage the Tremough Campus in Penryn, will be showcasing creativity, originality and ground-breaking research in all sorts of ways for the local community and visitors to the town to enjoy between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 19 May 2012.Dr Misha Myers to talk as part of Walk Sans Frontières discussion
Programme Leader for Theatre, Dr Misha Myers will be talking as part of a discussion entitled Walk Sans Frontières on Sunday 18 March in Glasgow. This will centre on the Slow Marathon marathon walking action by Ethiopian Artist Mihret Kebede.
Students celebrate in style
Students donned their finery to celebrate their contribution to the wider community at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall on Thursday 1 March. The ceremony was the first of its kind to be planned by FXU, the combined Students' Union for University College Falmouth and the University of Exeter in Cornwall, to recognise achievements in a wide range of areas from sporting prowess to supporting others and fundraising for local charities.
Nick Darke Award for writing relaunched with £6,000 prize
The School of Media & Performance at University College Falmouth is pleased to announce the opening of this year's Nick Darke Award. The award will continue to celebrate the best writing for stage, screen and radio with writers having the chance of winning £6,000, a £3,000 increase on previous years.
Music students from University College Falmouth to play at the Royal Albert Hall
A band made up of thirteen students from across the Music degree programme will be playing at The Royal Albert Hall, London on Monday 7 November following gigs at regional and national showcases run by Music for Youth.
The autumn Contemporary Performance programme launches
The Performance Centre is delighted to announce the autumn programme of Contemporary Performance. Following the launch of the £19 million building last autumn this year's programme has grown significantly and offers the opportunity to see performances that might otherwise be rarely shown in the county.

UCF proudly recognises the achievements of 700 graduates, along with special recognition for the extraordinary work of; Lady Mary Holborow DCVO, Tom Henderson OBE, Peter Hodgson CBE DL, Peter Kosminsky, John Simmons, Bonnie Dean and Karen Christopher.
