Profile - Jakub Bos - Erasmus exchange (Digital Animation)
Jakub Boś is a first year Digital Animation student from The Academy of Humanities and Economics in Lodz in Portugal.
It was a friend back in Portugal who got Jakub interested in an Erasmus study exchange. His friend told him it would be an excellent opportunity to have new life experiences, meet new people from Europe and the world - and have some fun too.
“It’s good speaking with other Erasmus exchange student,” Jakub said. “Looking at education in their country and seeing how the exchange has influenced their work has been great.”
In his own words, Jakub has been “Very happy to study in Falmouth. It opened my eyes about art schools. I have everything I could ever need: hardware, software and help from my lecturer.” When talking about the campus environment, Jakob said: “Everybody wants to help. They enjoy spend time with you too! Students in Falmouth are great. Everybody loves spending time at university and working together. It’s never being boring.”
What was it like being an exchange student at UCF? “The course is very good,” says Jakub. “It has good personnel, hardware and software. The digital animation students have everything we could possibly need. The campus at Tremough is perfect. It’s like haven for students! At Falmouth, we have a nice student night life - and great view for when you want to just relax.”
Overall, Jakub felt he received a great animation educational experience from people who knew what they were doing. The exchange gave him the opportunity to make new contacts with people he met. “We had a few meetings with a big company that makes animated movies released around the world,” Jakub said. “The company does things like special effects. The speakers from this company gave us some great advice which will be invaluable for my future career.”
