University College Falmouth's School of Art & Performance is offering an inspiring array of courses through Clearing, giving students a unique opportunity to study at two of the College's campuses - at the Dartington Campus in Totnes and the Tremough Campus in Penryn.

Opportunities exist in a range of degree courses in Art & Performance, Choreography, Fine Art (Contemporary Practices), Music (with International, Professional Practice, Composition and Performance strands), Theatre and Writing (with options in Contemporary Practices and Scripted Media) for September 2009 entry as a result of the College's ambitious plans to increase its student population and establish Arts University Cornwall by 2012/2013.

"Our undergraduate programme offers flexibility and choice to suit the interests and aspirations of individual students, with many of our degree courses offering the option of choosing a minor study alongside your major subject," explains Director of the School of Art & Performance, Sara Reed. "Students applying through Clearing this year will study for one year at the historic Dartington Estate in Devon before transferring to a stunning £15 million Performance Centre at the Tremough Campus for their second and third years, giving them a unique opportunity to experience the best of all possible worlds," adds Sara. "Our culture of excellence, exploration and collaboration, international networks and stunning natural environments combine to make University College Falmouth a stimulating place to nurture your creativity and prepare for success in the global arts community, whilst being among the first to benefit from world-class bespoke facilities."

To apply, you can book a place on our Dartington Campus Open Day on Saturday 22 August 2009. For further information, please contact the Dartington Admissions team on 01803 861620 or email: admissions@dartington.ac.uk.

University College Falmouth is the only independent Higher Education institution in Cornwall with the powers to award degrees in its own name. It has two campuses in Cornwall - at Woodlane in Falmouth and Tremough in Penryn (which it owns, and jointly manages with the University of Exeter) - and a third campus at Totnes in Devon, following its merger with Dartington College of Arts in 2008.

This merger created a new institution focusing on the expansion of Falmouth's expertise in Art, Design and Media and Dartington's expertise in Choreography, Music, Theatre, Art and Writing. The Devon-based courses will relocate to a new, high-specification Performance Centre at Tremough in 2010, paving the way for a new specialist Arts University in Cornwall by 2012/2013 that will be unique to the South West.

The College is a founding partner in the Combined Universities in Cornwall (CUC), a unique initiative to promote regional economic regeneration through Higher Education, funded mainly by the European Union (Objective One), the South West Regional Development Agency, and the Higher Education Funding Council for England, with support from Cornwall Council.
