Whilst out filming a project on oyster farming near St Issey, 2nd year BA(Hons) Marine and Natural History Photography student, Paul Dennys, snapped, what could be, the latest sighting of the Beast of Bodmin.

Having parked in a field to capture panoramic views of the beach where the oysters are farmed, Paul was setting up his equipment when another student, Ashley Percival noticed the mystery creature moving at speed across the landscape.

Paul focused his camera as quickly as possible and began taking shots of the muscular cat-like creature, about the size of a dog, running into bushes.pauldennyimage2.jpg

"The clearest image shows the figure of a black cat running across the field and has created a lot of interest in the media. I hope people enjoy the photograph and that it doesn't cause too much controversy! Never has the saying 'in the right place at the right time' been so clear to me!" said Paul of his brush with the celebrated creature of Bodmin Moor.
