DesignEd. In Cornwall presents the fourth annual Sponsors Awards ceremony and exhibition at University College Falmouth. On Wednesday 29 June a Private View and Sponsors Awards ceremony opens the three day show at the Design Centre, Tremough Campus, Penryn. DesignEd. will showcase the outstanding design and technology work produced by students at schools and Higher Education colleges across Cornwall. DesignEd. In Cornwall is the only large-scale exhibition of its kind in the country.
DesignEd. In Cornwall originated through a partnership between Richard Scott, Design & Technology Team Leader/AST at Richard Lander School, and John Miller, UCF's former Director of Design, who worked collaboratively with Mr. Scott to turn his idea into a reality. This year, the exhibition will display work from around 400 GCSE and Post 16 students from 24 schools and colleges.
To encourage the next generation of would-be designers and innovators, DesignEd. In Cornwall receives strong support from the region's business community who sponsor prizes in the following categories:
