Medical services and immunisation
It is advisable to register with a local practice when you move area to attend University College Falmouth.
Please note that you are strongly advised to contact your current GP regarding your immunisation status, particularly MMR and Meningitis, before you move to Falmouth. Young people can be particularly vulnerable. Mumps is an unpleasant disease, and can have some serious consequences in adults, so do check your immunisations are up to date before you arrive.
Students living at Glasney Student Village or in Penryn
Medical services
Students are advised to register with the local Penryn Surgery, with whom we have an agreement regarding medical certificates for absence. The Practice provides nurse clinic which runs 3 times a week in Glasney Lodge on the Tremough Campus. The nurse can provide contraception and sexual health services and general advice to all students, but is able to provide immunisation and other treatments to students registered with the practice.

We shall be running Penryn Practice registration sessions in the Accommodation & Welfare offices at Tremough. Information will be available at the beginning of term.

Accommodation & Welfare Services offices at Tremough are located in the Annex opposite the refectory.
Contact us if you need advice about local services or any other information or support during your time at Falmouth. Our receptionist will point you in the right direction and can make an appointment for you to speak confidentially to Counsellors, Accessibility Advisers, Living Support Co-ordinator, the Chaplain and Accommodation services.
You'll also find lots of useful information, forms and leaflets and the excellent Careers Library hosted by Accommodation & Welfare Services at Tremough.

Accommodation & Welfare Services: Woodlane Campus
Accommodation & Welfare Services at the Woodlane campus is based in Kathmor, across the road from the main Woodlane campus. You'll find lots of useful information, forms and leaflets there. Our Woodlane receptionist can point you in the right direction if you need advice or support, have a problem or enquiry. You can make appointments to speak confidentially to any of our Counsellors, Accessibility Advisers, the Chaplain, and members of the Accommodation Services team. (The Careers Library and offices at Woodlane are based in the Library building).
