2010 saw the third annual DesignEd. In Cornwall exhibition at University College Falmouth. This three day event showcases the outstanding design and technology work produced by students at schools and Higher Education colleges across Cornwall and is the only large-scale exhibition of its kind in the country.

Thursday 8 July - Saturday 10 July 2010
Design Centre, University College Falmouth

DesignEd. In Cornwall originated through a partnership between Richard Scott, Design & Technology Team Leader/AST at Richard Lander School, and John Miller, UCF's former Director of Design, who worked closely with Richard to turn his idea into a reality. In 2009 the exhibition presented work by more than 250 GCSE, Post 16 and undergraduate students from 27 schools and colleges.

"It's important that we celebrate the talent coming out of Cornish schools and encourage more of our young people to consider careers in design. Design today is no longer just about designing and producing a functional item, it's about how we interact with design in our everyday lives, and ensuring that when our students graduate, they are ready to play a leading role in shaping the future for business communities and the environment." John Miller, former Director of Design
