University College Falmouth will be showcasing work at The Glove Factory gallery during the Appledore Visual Arts Festival. The exhibition will showcase the best of 3D Design, Contemporary Crafts and Textile Design produced by our alumni, postgraduate and third-year undergraduate students.
Based in North Devon, The Glove Factory is a gallery and workshops owned by Sandy Brown, a ceramicist of international acclaim and founder of the Appledore Festival.

Appledore Visual Arts Festival
The Appledore Visual Arts Festival is one of the South West's major art events and recently celebrated its 10th anniversary.
With an audience of over 7,500, the Festival includes a rich programme of exhibitions, events, residencies, educational projects and workshops involving internationally recognised artists, young emerging talent, locally based craftspeople, children and community groups.
2010 theme: Coastlines
Appledore sits on the banks of the Taw/Torridge estuary and the village has a significant river and maritime heritage including boatbuilding and subsequently shipbuilding. On the South West peninsula, our relationship with the marine and coastal environments has profoundly influenced our history, our identity and our character.
There is no finer example of this relationship than North Devon's beautiful and rugged coastline. Through an innovative programme of contemporary visual arts events, the selected artists will be asked to respond to this unique environment.
