Satisfaction at work

The majority of you, over 74%, tend to think UCF is a good place to work and, at 87%, the majority of you said that you enjoy your work. 79% of you feel motivated at work. Satisfaction levels were lower at 67%. However, 72% tend to feel inspired to do your best every day.

Equality and diversity

75% of you felt UCF is committed to equality of opportunity for all its staff and over 90% of you are satisfied with diversity issues. Very high scores were recorded, on average over 94%, for the way UCF equally respects gender, ethnicity, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion and maternity needs.

Clarity of roles

The majority of you, over 81%, said you are clear about your role, what you are expected to achieve and the standards required of you in terms of performance and behaviour.

Immediate managers

Overall, the majority of you told us that you have good relations with your immediate managers, with 86% of you feeling respected and valued by them. 64% of you felt they motivated you to give your best and 73% felt they tended to involve you in decisions that affect you.

Working in teams

The majority of you told us you valued being part of a team, with 71% telling us you felt part of your department. In terms of the University College, 64% of you agreed or tended to feel this way. 

Pay and conditions

The majority of you expressed satisfaction with your current conditions of employment, with scores of over 90% of you agreeing or tending to agree that the University College offers good pension, sick pay and maternity leave schemes (paternity leave was lower at 80%). On average above 78% tended to feel broadly positive about holiday entitlement.
