Matched funding

How your donation may be worth as much as 241% more to UCF

On 1 August 2008 the Government launched a £200 million scheme to match all eligible gifts raised by English universities until 31 July 2011.

Donation to University College Falmouth will be matched on a 1:1 ratio (i.e. for every £1 received the government will give an additional £1), up to a cap of £200,000. Additionally, any Gift Aid reclaimed on the original donation can also be matched. Taking a gift of £100 as an example:

  • for a non-taxpayer this would be worth £200 to UCF
  • for a standard rate taxpayer the value of the gift could rise to £256
  • for a higher rate taxpayer, the value of the gift could rise to £256 at a cost to the donor of only £75 (following income tax relief).
To make an online gift now, please visit our online donation page. If you wish to donate by post, please download a gift and Gift Aid form.

If you have any questions about matched giving please telephone Cheryl Gunn, Development & Alumni Manager on 01326 254456 or email cheryl.gunn@falmouth.ac.uk.
