We welcome applications from students with appropriate qualifications, equivalent qualifications, prior learning/experience and a demonstrable interest in their subject. We welcome students of all ages, from all countries, from all backgrounds and cultures, and from all walks of life. Course specific entry requirements can be found on each of the course pages.

University College Falmouth normally requires suitably qualified or experienced UK students to attend an interview and present a portfolio of work. For studio-based courses, EU and international students will not normally be expected to attend an interview but may submit a portfolio of work online or in the form of photographs, slides or CD/DVD.

If you already have qualifications or practical experience relevant to your chosen course, we may be able to reduce the time you need to complete the course. Please ask Admissions (contact details above) for advice on what is called Accreditation of Prior Learning (or Prior Experiential Learning).

We reserve the right, at any stage, to request further information from applicants about any aspect of their application. You must provide this by the given date if we are to consider your application.

ELQ Applications: If you're applying to study for a qualification equal to or below one you already possess, please note that, should you be offered a place, you'll be charged a higher fee - similar to that of an international student. For more information contact admissions on 01326 213730.

Full-time BA(Hons) courses - UCAS applications

UCAS applications have to be made online at www.ucas.ac.uk. You register in one of two ways.

Via an institution

This could be your school or college, a Connexions office or careers office. The institution has to provide a ‘buzzword' to give you access to the system, and you may have to start the process in the presence of a designated tutor or official. The institution will submit the application to UCAS on your behalf, and you may be able to pay the UCAS fee through the institution (if not, you must pay it yourself online).

As an individual

You can register as an individual even if you are using a computer in an institution (such as your school or college). Do this if you want control over how, when and where you complete, amend and monitor your application. It is your responsibility to submit the application on time, having obtained the necessary academic references, and to pay the fee online.

In either case, once you have registered, you can save your application and return to it at any time, and from any computer, until you submit it.

All applications received by UCAS prior to the published deadlines will be given equal consideration. Some courses can consider applications after the deadlines, but your choices may be limited, depending on the number of places we have to offer for each course.

Please note that all Art & Performance, Design and Media applications now follow a single application route, which allows you to submit up to five choices. Your chosen institutions will all consider your application at the same time. Closing date for receipt of applications is 15 January 2012. Please check www.ucas.ac.uk for individual course deadlines. Late applications can only be considered if places remain available.

If you are not a UK or EU citizen, you may apply at any time, although it is helpful to you and to us, to allow as much time as possible.

If you want to transfer into the second or third year of a course, please contact the admissions team:

Foundation Diploma in Art & Design

Applications are now closed for the full-time Foundation Diploma for 2012 entry. The deadline was Friday 9 December 2011.

If you are interested in applying to study part-time in 2012, please email the Admissions team: admissions@falmouth.ac.uk. If you are an International student applying from outside the EU, please email the International office: international@falmouth.ac.uk

All on-time applicants were emailed a project brief on Monday 12 December 2011. The deadline for this project to be completed was 5pm, Friday 6 January 2012.

All applicants who completed the project, on time and according to the brief, will be invited to interview. See Interview & Portfolio for more information.

Please note: Due to the high volume of full-time applications we receive each year, we are not able to consider any late applications or projects that are received after the deadlines. We hope you will understand that we are unable to make any exceptions to this rule.

Keep in mind: The content of the project is kept secret until you receive the project brief email. We expect you to work on the project for no more than 10 days. We are not strict about this timeframe as long as your project is received by the deadline of 6 January 2012.

And one last thing: Make sure your contact details are up to date and remember to check your inbox in the week commencing 12 December 2011. It is your responsibility to read your emails and make sure you meet the deadline. If you have not received our email and think you should have, please let Admissions know immediately on 01326 213730.
