Getting there

The Dartington Campus Festival is located on the Dartington Hall estate, near the picturesque town of Totnes in South Devon, on the South Coast of England.

If you are visiting Dartington for the first time you will find information here about travelling to the campus:

By train

Totnes is on a main railway line.

  • Birmingham: Direct trains about every 15 minutes. Journey time approximately 3 hours
  • Bristol: Direct trains about every 30 minutes. Journey time approximately 1.5 - 2 hours
  • Cardiff: Trains about every 30 minutes. Journey time under 3 hours
  • Edinburgh: Trains hourly. Journey time approximately 8 hours
  • Leeds: Trains hourly. Journey time approximately 5 hours
  • Liverpool: Trains hourly. Journey time approximately 5 hours
  • London: Direct trains hourly from London Paddington. Journey time approximately 3 hours
  • Manchester: Regular trains. Journey time approximately 5 - 6 hours

Directions from the North

Follow the M5 until it becomes the A38 south of Exeter. Keep on the A38 following signs for Plymouth. About 20 miles from Exeter exit at the Buckfastleigh junction and turn left onto the A384, signposted Dartington and Totnes. After about 5 miles look for the 'Dartington - please drive slowly through the village' sign. Take the next left turn at Dartington Church and follow the signs for Dartington Hall, which is one mile from the church.

Directions from the South

Take the A38 from Plymouth and turn left onto the A385 just beyond South Brent, signposted Dartington and Paignton. Follow the signs to Dartington and turn left at the mini-roundabout in the village. Turn right at Dartington Church and follow the signs to Dartington Hall, which is one mile from the church.

By taxi

Rickshaw

A FREE Rickshaw taxi service will be running from Totnes Civic Sq to the Gallery on the Dartington estate every day of the festival at the following times:

Wednesday: 5pm - 6pm
Thursday: 11am - 6pm
Friday: 11am - 8pm
Saturday: 11am - 8pm
Sunday: 11am - 3pm
