Tremough Campus

Tremough's friendly campus environment means you'll soon feel at home

Having Cornwall’s biggest venue on my doorstep and Tremough's superb facilities to use has been a pretty amazing start to my university career. Lindsay Blackwell, Textile Design student

Used and managed jointly by two higher education institutions - University College Falmouth and the University of Exeter in Cornwall - the Tremough Campus is the hub of the Combined Universities in Cornwall project, which is leading the economic regeneration of the county.

Substantial investment sees several major building projects scheduled to run concurrently over the next two years. These impressive new facilities reflect our ongoing committment to research, technology, entrepreneurialism, collaboration, sustainability, and student employability. This unique blend of investments, from both University College Falmouth and external partners, will put Tremough at the forefront of innovation in the UK. The eyecatching granite, wood and glass building at the centre of the campus houses the main seminar rooms, the Learning Resources Centre and main IT suite, as well as The Stannary - Cornwall’s largest venue, which also doubles up as the refectory and bar. There’s also a Sports Centre with well-equipped gym and multi-use games area so you can keep active during your studies.

The Design Centre has turned heads since it first opened in 2003. Falmouth students have exclusive use of custom-built workshops and facilities, including some of the most modern equipment in the country, and the open-plan layout encourages staff and students to share ideas and techniques.

The Photography Centre provides both silver-based and digital imaging with darkrooms for traditional film use and colour-managed digital suites complete with professional quality film scanners and the very latest software for digital work

The recently enhanced Media Centre is a high specification facility, fully equipped for every aspect of media production, from the TV studio and newsroom to the audio and visual editing suites, IT suites and cinema. The purpose-built Digital Animation Studio is designed to a professional standard, housing 30 workstations equipped with the latest animation software.

Library & Information Services provide an integrated learning environment for all students on both campuses. Woodlane offers a specialist art and graphic design library with 70,000 books, e-resources and journals to meet the needs of the specific courses on each campus. Tremough houses our media and design collections, together with a wide-ranging collection to meet all students' needs. The collection of 200,000 books, journals, online and electronic resources, and specialist DVD collections are underpinned by a service allowing items to be transferred between sites, as well as an option to order specialist books from the British Library via the University College. Both centres have subject librarians to support your studies and wi-fi throughout.
